WordPress experiment: subwaymap
I love weird interfaces, preferably using Flash. This is a WordPress plugin, but not a very useful one. It displays your pages hierarchy as a kind of clickable map. Called “subwaymap” because I set out to create a plugin that would create a London subway map of your blog. I got sidetracked and couldn’t help but animated it and add lot of randomness…

P.S. The bullets are clickable…
UPDATE: If you want to play with this, feel free to download this early test version.
Usage is pretty simple. Upload to your plugins folder, activate and add “[ SUBWAYMAP ]” or “[ SUBWAYMAP_CATS ]” to a post or page. Be sure to remove the spaces inside the square brackets.
Go to page 2 to see my blog’s categories…
EDIT: For some reason this does not work under WordPress 2.1. I’ll have to look into that. Apparently the template tag I’m using has lost it’s ability to return the category listing for use in PHP.
UPDATE: I’ve disabled this plugin and replaced it with screenshot. This didn’t work very well under recent WordPress versions and is no longer in development.

Hello,
interesting Flash plug-in again, but the download link does not? Or is the plug-not available anymore?
WP Cumulus I have already used this plug-in, I would also like to try it.
Alex greetings …

Hi Alex. I fixed the download link, but please keep in mind that this plugin has known issues under WP 2.1+. I haven’t really tested it since, and can not guarantee it to work. WP-Cumulus is pretty stable, but this should really only be regarded as an experiment.
