Better than my old Olympus C100 and the Fuji S304. It takes only two AA (aka penlite) batteries at a time, yet they last longer than four in the other cams. One thing I forgot to mention in the post is that it used SD memory cards. I had a few of those lying around, but even if you need to get a new one they're dirt cheap. I bough a 1GB one the other day for only 10 euros. That's enough storage for close to a thousand(!) pictures.Some other cameras in this segment use more expensive memory solutions like Memorystick or XD. Hi Pierro.
