The most spectacular drop will be for the Q6600, which will from then on cost $266 (wholesale per thousand). That's exactly the current price of the E6600. So basically you could get a quad core rig for the price of a E6600 based PC today. That's the thing with buying PCs, there's always something better on the horizon. I could have waited for July 22nd, of for the P35 motherboard chipset, or for the new Core 2 Duo CPUs..
