		<description>It&#039;s funny how I don&#039;t mind all the versions of Linux, but I do cringe when I see Windows with multiple versions.  I think it&#039;s exactly what you pointed to though in that I know if I want a feature I initially missed in Linux, I can add it in.  But with Windows, I am stuck with what I bought on day 1.  

I skipped Vista altogether, so I didn&#039;t have to worry about all of those different versions.  However, I read an article recently (believe it was at CNET) that compared the different versions of Vista and Win7.  Apparently, Vista was versioned across non-related lines in some cases.  One version would contain WMP and another would not but would contain some other useful item not in the previous version.   It looks as though Win7 will be versioned as subsets of a super version though, which makes a lot more sense.  

Coming from XP Pro, I will probably aim for Win7 Pro.</description>
