royHi. I’m Roy. I’m a web designer and developer located in The Netherlands. My wife and I have two adorable little daughters and two cats. I’ve been a web professional since 1997 and a blogger since 2002. In 2002, I co-authored a book called “Byte-size Flash MX“, which dealt with optimizing Flash files.

I love going to the movies, and I’ve written over a hundred movie reviews on Choking on Popcorn, which I set up with Suzero in 2002. On January 1st, 2008 I quit my job as a Flash developer to focus on WordPress, Flash and freelance web design.

On roytanck.com, I mostly write about technology, gadgets and open source software. This blog is also the home of my WordPress plugins and other projects.

    • Does the Picase feed url have “https”? If so, please try removing the “s”, so it says “http”.

  3. I use your video embed: youtuber and I have noticed that my embeds are read with no problems with chrome yet it will not read with internet explorer

    could you please advice?

    First of all you are a genius! Im sure you know that. Second thank you so much for letting me download the flickr widget, I am new to this blogging world and I can really use all the help I can get. I am a simply card maker, mother of 2 beautiful girls as well. So thank you again, ok here’s the last thing. I wanted to donate to your tip jar, I had it all fill out then a thought came to my simple mind. If this guy is a computer genius how do I know if I put my Credit Card info or use my pay pal account he wont hack into it and clean me out? Well thats just me thinking and I feel horrible. SOOO lol how about a mailing address? Simple minds need simple thinking, I hope thats ok with you. I need to stop rambling. Take care! Happy Blogging!

  8. Ok so I am thinking about removing my site from Tumbler and get it to a WordPress website. I believe this is a wordpress site right? If it is, may I ask where you got the theme? Thanks a bunch!

    • I’m afraid it’s a homebrew theme, and if I’d strip everything out that was tailor-made for this site, there’s be nothing left. That’s why I’m not going to release it. Sorry.
