Releasing WordPress plugins… site stats

I was amazed last week when I released my Youtuber plugin for WordPress. I posted the plugin, went to sleep and by the time I woke up Weblogtoolscollection had already picked up on it. Their RSS feed is on pretty much every WP dashboard out there, and comments and trackbacks were coming in even though it had only been a couple of hours since I posted. The same thing happened a few days later when I decided to release the this.player plugin.

This blog doesn’t attract many visitors, which is fine by me. What matters to me is the kind of reactions I get. I’ve been receiving kind comments and suggestions through comments and in my email and it’s great to see just how alive an eager the WP community still is. Makes me feel like I’m on a winning team.

  1. I’m happy to have made your week, Roy. I have good sources for compiling my daily entries, so there isn’t much that gets past without at least a glance. 🙂
