I’ll keep this very short. If you have a Samsung Note II, and you – like me – feel its huge display needs some sort of protection from scratches, then look no further. The Flip Cover is the case that Samsung should probably have provided with the device. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s also clever.
Most cases of this type wrap around the actual device, but the Samsung one actually replaces the phone’s battery cover. So it adds no extra thickness to the back of the device. It’s made from very nice materials and wraps around to the back so it’s not in the way when making calls. The replacement back is identical to the standard one, so it has the same NFC hardware (unlike most 3rd party cases).
Whether or not you like these notebook-style cases is a matter of preference, but I think they suit the phone’s “theme”. This makes the Note into a “Notebook”. I think it looks very nice. If you’re looking into Note 2 covers, this one should be on your list.
- Looks very nice

- Blocks the camera when wrapped around the back
- Blocks the notification LED when closed
